Chief Alan Bornt has announced that the North Hoosick Fire Department has been awarded $41,639 from the third round of the Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant. This award was announced and released on July 18, 2008.
With this award, the North Hoosick Fire Department will be replacing and updating all of its fire fighting hose, several adaptors, relief valves and nozzles. The new equipment will replace fire equipment that is over 20 years old.
The Fire Department is proud to announce that Kurt T. Bradley, professional grants consultant from Chiefs Grants in Auburndale, Florida, assisted the Fire Department to secure this award.
