Lydia M. Stevens

Hoosick Falls – Lydia M. Stevens, 73, of Redmond Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, died on Monday morning, October 13, 2008, at her residence.

 

Born August 16, 1935, in Bennington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence Crandall Stevens. A graduate of Hoosick Falls Central High School, Lydia worked for Pownal Tannery, the Shoe Factory, Holman’s Manufacturing and CB  Sports. She retired in 2000 from Tansitor Electronics in Bennington. She was a fine seamstress and was involved in lots of childcare.

Survivors include her children, Melany J. and husband John Letourneau of Bennington, Melinda “Dee” and husband Jim Moore of Hoosick Falls, Alan and wife Claudia Stevens of Michigan, sisters, Jane Wesley of Petersburgh, NY, Marion Burdick of N. Pownal, VT, grandchildren, Jared and wife Jamie Johnson, Aron Breen, Jessica Johnson, Jesse Alan Stevens, David Stevens and Amanda Breen, along with great-grandchildren, Sky Lynn Stevens, Jackson Lee Palmateer and Alixandria and Oriana Johnson. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Louis, Doye, Earl and Warren Stevens.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. If you would like to remember Lydia in a special way, a memorial contribution to the charity of choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the guidance of Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home of Hoosick Falls.
