Stephentown Town Justice Wes Edwards has received Special Recognition from the New York State Magistrates Association for his 45 years of continuous service in the local justice system. The Association, at their Annual Conference on September 22 in Niagara Falls, awarded Edwards with an engraved medal with his name, Hon. Wesley R. Edwards, and the Town of Stephentown engraved upon it.
Edwards is the longest serving judge in Rensselaer County. He has also been an active member of the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years and is a long time member of the Empire State Masonic Order Unity Lodge #9 in New Lebanon. He was employed by General Electric for 25 years until retiring in 1992.
