Berlin High School Catering Class Presents An Organic Breakfast

November 28, 2008 By eastwickpress

On Friday Morning at 8:15 am, November 21, the Berlin High School Catering Class, under the training of Mrs. Diane Mosher, served an organic breakfast at Berlin Elementary School to the entire School staff. Mrs. Mosher, the Family and Consumer Science teacher at Berlin Middle School/High School, has been working with a number of motivated students to help them prepare for jobs in the real world. The caterers, who call themselves Triple C Catering, supplied tablecloths, centerpieces, cloth napkins, china and silverware to serve an elegant breakfast of organic foods and beverages.

The breakfast was sponsored by the Fourth Grade Teaching Team led by team leader Mrs. Karyn Healy. The focus on Organic foods was designed to raise awareness of the need to monitor one’s own diet and to make healthy choices. The all-organic menu consisted of freshly baked breads, butter, homemade jellies and jams, vanilla yogurt, granola and milk, fresh fruit, juices, tea and coffee.
