The SUNY Cobleskill men’s cross country team dominated the action at the 2008 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championships hosted by the Fighting Tigers in Cobleskill, NY, on Saturday November 1. The Orange & Black posted a team score of 18 points to easily outdistance the nine-team field for the title.
Freshman Andrew Gelston, White Plains, NY, won the meet’s individual title by covering the five-mile course in a time of 28:34 to outdistance the 71 runner field. The talented freshman was named the 2008 NEAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year as well as to the All-NEAC First Team. Joining Gelston on the League’s All-NEAC First Team was sophomore Dan Bulson, Cropseyville, NY, Berlin High School, who placed fifth with a mark of 29:31.
