Girls Scouts: No Pain, No Gain

November 28, 2008 By eastwickpress

On Saturday, November 8,  Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Troop #1144 learned what the phrase, “No Pain – No Gain” means when Pam Lawton, owner of Fitness Now in Hoosick, opened up her gym to the troop, helping them to earn their fitness badge.Pam taught the girls some stretching techniques, a body combat workout and other exercises that got their hearts pumping (and some mothers’ hearts as well!)  She ended their session with a discussion about proper nutrition and how eating healthy and regular exercise will help them to maintain a fit lifestyle for years to come.  Pam answered many questions that the troop had and gave the girls a sense of pride knowing that they had just earned a badge and had lots of fun in the process.

Thanks, Pam, for giving back to the Hoosick Falls Girl Scout community.  Troop #1144 couldn’t have done it without you.
