Rainy weather changed the schedule for the girls soccer sectionals and #2 seed HF got to play #6 seed Albany Academy at Helft Field in Hoosick on October 30. The score was 3 – 0 for the Panthers. Goals were scored by Meaghan McKee, Allie Martin and Jenna Priore. Kelsey Rogers had six saves in the shutout, and the Hoosick Falls Girls Soccer Team became Class CC Champions once again.

Lose To Stillwater For Class C Title

On Saturday Hoosick Falls played undefeated Stillwater at Broadalbin for the Section II Class C title. In the end Stillwater defeated HF for the third time this season by a score of 2-0. Each goalie had five saves. The Panthers held off the aggressive Stillwater team for the first half. Just minutes into the second half Stillwater scored. Hoosick Falls has a history of winning games in the final minutes. It wasn’t to be this year. Stillwater scored for the second time with 27 seconds left on the clock. It was a tough loss, particularly for the seniors. Coach Husser told the team they had played well and they had nothing to be ashamed of. This was just Stillwater’s year, he said.
