Grafton – Laura MacDonald Robinson, 83, formerly of Grafton, NY, died October 30, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, after a long illness.
Born in Berlin, NY, she was daughter of the late Iver Snyder and Eva (Hull) Snyder and wife of the late Donald MacDonald and Irving Robinson. She resided in Grafton for many years and, after her marriage to Irving Robinson, resided in East Greenbush, NY, for 14 years and subsequently moved to the ROUSE Apartments in Brunswick, NY.
She was a clerk for Nationwide Insurance many years ago.
Active in the community while in Grafton, she was a founding member of the Grafton Rescue Squad, a long time member of the Grafton United Methodist Church and a 4-H leader.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy and husband John Wells of South Carolina, two sons, Stephen R. and wife Lynda MacDonald of Petersburgh, NY, and Barry and wife Carol MacDonald of Grafton, six grandchildren, Brian and Chad Wells, Jason and Mark MacDonald and Kevin and Michael MacDonald, and four great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Douglas H. MacDonald.
The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Grafton Cemetery.
