The Berlin Free Town Library will host area musicians Karen Webster, Leslie Green and Martha von Schilgen for a special holiday concert on Sunday, December 14, at 3 pm at the Seventh Day Baptist Church on Main Street in Berlin.
The three musicians first came together in 2005 in a benefit concert for the Library and have since performed together for weddings, parties, libraries and churches. The trio performs in a number of musical genres stretching from modern renditions of music that is hundreds of years old to newly composed tunes. The original complement of instruments for the trio was piano, oboe and violin. The trio has added voice, guitar, cello and English horn.
For this concert, Karen, who writes and arranges for the trio, plays piano and guitar and sings. Leslie plays the oboe, piano and English horn and sings harmony. Martha plays violin and cello. The December 14 concert is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Library.
