Kiwanis Collects For Pediatric Trauma Unit

Anita Sacilowski, Member and Jim Miner, President, of the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club were joined by other Kiwanis members at the Grand Union to collect for the Albany Medical Pediatric Trauma Unit. The Grand Union graciously allowed the Kiwanis Club to set up inside away from the cold weather. The Kiwanis Clubs of the Van Rensselaer, Capital and Mohawk divisions built the Albany Med trauma unit.

Any of our local children under 21 with any trauma from accidents or illness are cared for in this particular unit. All of the money the Kiwanis raised went directly to this unit.

HFCS Chorus Sings To Kiwanis

by Bea Peterson

A portion of the Hoosick Falls Central School Jr/Sr Chorus, directed by Ambigay Yudkoff, accompanied on keyboard by elementary music teacher Bill Brown, performed for the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis Club at their Christmas luncheon on Tuesday, December 15. It was a lovely event. It began with the Chorus singing a wide variety of songs, including holiday numbers. The Kiwanians were impressed by the beautiful voices, wonderful harmony and disciplined performance put on by the group. The singing was followed by an excellent meal catered by Theresa’s Restaurant.
