December 19, 2008 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Falls bowling team won a close match against Schuylerville on Tuesday, December 16, by the score of 3 – 1. After losing the first game by 19 pins, the Panthers came back and won the second game by 56 pins and the last game by 21 pins. The final pin total was Hoosick Falls 3,412 and Schuylerville 3,354. Hoosick Falls’ record is now 14 – 2, and Schuylerville is now 12-4.

The top bowler for Schuylerville was Zach Dames with 255-618. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Joey Wolfrum 247-728, Corey Callahan 201-564, Jake Colliano 194-553, Danielle Pelletier 203-545, Justin Carter 207-524 and Mitchell Andrew 183-498. Cody LaFlamme had the high JV score of 223-572.

“This was a big win to beat Schuylerville on their home lanes. Both teams led the Southern Division with records of 11 – 1 going into the match. Joey [Wolfrum] had a great day followed by the rest of the team being patient and bowling scores that we needed to win the match. I was very proud how the entire team handled the pressure of the big match. I hope they keep bowling like this for our match tomorrow against Fort Edward,” said Coach Lang.
