On Friday, January 9, the Berlin Rescue Squad will be holding its first dinner of the New Year. It will start at 5 pm and end at 7:30 pm. We will be serving lasagna, garlic bread, side salad, and for desert we will serve a yummy French vanilla ice cream topped with CrÅme de Menthe or a Chocolate Syrup. You can get this great meal for only $8. Also, for this dinner, we will be donating all of the profit towards the D.A.R.E. program that the Sheriff’s Department runs for the fifth graders at our school. This program teaches kids the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Please come and support a great cause.

The Berlin Fire Company, Inc., would like to thank Elmer and Sylvia Goodermote for their wonderful donation of the wreath that adorned the front of the firehouse for the holidays. Also, to Seagroatts for the terrific Christmas tree that they thoughtfully donated to the townspeople who sat on the side of the firehouse through all the cold nights.
