On January 5, the Grafton Town Board held its annual organizational meeting at 6:30 pm in the Town Hall. The following actions were taken (salaries & wages were not provided):

Deputy Supervisor signature authority on Town checks in emergency situations
Town Supervisor the use of a facsimile signature stamp
The setting of fees as listed in the January 1, 2009 Town of Grafton Fees Schedule
The setting of the mileage reimbursement rate at $.585 per mile
The pay of full time hourly employees, part time hourly employees and appointed employees per the 2009 Town of Grafton Budget.
The expenditure by the Highway Superintendent of up to $2,000 on equipment, tools and implements without prior Board approval.
The payment of all Town elected officials as established in the 2009 budget.
Acceptance of the Town of Grafton investment policy as outlined in section 27 of the code of the Town of Grafton.
Acceptance of the Town of Grafton procurement policy as outlined in section 46 of the code of the Town of Grafton.
Establishing a $35 charge on all returned checks to the Town for insufficient funds.
The Supervisor to open competitive bids involving public works and purchase contracts required to be advertised.
The payment of utility and insurance bills prior to audit.
The Grafton Highway Superintendent to enter into a memorandum of agreement with all Rensselaer County towns and the County of Rensselaer for the sharing and use of equipment and man hours.
Approval of the January 1, 2009, Town of Grafton wage schedule.
The Town Bookkeeper to make internal transfers between the Town of Grafton’s checking and investment accounts by way of Pioneer Commercial online banking as needed and as directed by the Town Supervisor.
