Hoosick Falls Health Center Busy With Holiday Events

January 23, 2009 By eastwickpress

The holidays were a busy time for the residents at the Hoosick Falls Health Center. Maureen Martinez, Director of Recreational Therapy, and her staff organized many special events including a Christmas Tree Decorating Party, a Hot Chocolate and Donut Social, music with Steve Marking, Dottie Cross and the Gang, a birthday party with Dom Mancino providing the entertainment and a Resident Holiday Bazaar with Marjie Swartz on the guitar. The Ladies Auxiliary had a Christmas fest with Doug Sherman on keyboard. The Girl Scouts came through the facility caroling, and there was an antique show with Bill Sheehan. The residents enjoyed a Christmas party get together with the opening of gifts and a visit from Santa Claus. Capping off the festivities the residents had a New Year’s party with Lou Gardner on saxophone and Al Mosher on keyboard.
