Leola M. Tarr

Stephentown – Leola M. Tarr, age 89, of Stephentown, NY, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Mrs. Tarr moved to the Stephentown area eight years ago from East Long Meadow MA. She was a member of East Long Meadow Baptist Church and a member of the Perham (ME) Friendship Club. 

 

She is survived by two sons, Dana of Stephentown and Maynard of Oxford, FL, one sister, Audrey Hobbs of East Long Meadow, nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Fredrick, and one son, Brent, and six brothers and sisters. 

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on February 1, at the Petersburgh Baptist Church 19240 State Route 22, Petersburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made in Leola Tarr’s memory to the East Longmeadow Baptist Church, 50 Parker St., East Longmeadow, MA, 01028. Burial will be held in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Perham, Maine. Arrangements are entrusted to the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL.
