Entering their Tuesday night matchup with Berkshire School, the Berlin boys basketball team was in a four game slide and not playing the best basketball. Despite that, they snapped back on Tuesday night.
The Mountaineers came out on fire in the first half, going on a 26-0 run to start the game. Chris Zema scored 8 of the first 11 points, and Berlin just could not seem to miss a shot. Berkshire was held scoreless until there was just 1:10 left in the first quarter. After one quarter the score was 29-4. Berlin shot 63%, including 5 for 8 on three-pointers. After jumping out to a big lead, Coach Webster was able to get his entire bench into the game in the first half. At the end of the first half the score was 49-20.

In the second half Berlin continued to play well and continued to increase on their lead. Even with their top players sitting out, the Mountaineers found a way to score.
In the end, the final score was 85-39. Chris Zema led the team with 22 points and 6 assists. Shawn Willis added 12 points, including 3 three-pointers. Brent Demick had 10 points and 9 rebounds. Overall Berlin had ten different players score during the game.
The next game for the Mountaineers is Friday night when they host Germantown at 7 pm.
