Part Time Pastor Appointed To United Methodist Churches

Kim Kie has been appointed by Bishop Susan Hassinger as part time interim pastor to the Berlin/Grafton United Methodist Churches to replace Pastor Robert Hurd who retired on December 31.  Pastor Kie will fill this position until a new appointment is made in July.

 

Pastor Kie served as Director of Christian Education and Outreach Ministries at First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield, MA, from 2003 to July 2008.╩ She became a candidate for ministry in 2007 and served as a ministerial intern at First Congregational Church of Dalton, MA, June to August 2007 and was appointed to First United Methodist Church of North Adams, MA, in September 2007, where she currently serves as part time pastor.╩ She received her license for pastoral ministry in July 2008.╩╩She has been on two mission trips to Gulfport, Mississippi, for the rebuilding effort following Hurricane Katrina. She resides in Pittsfield with her husband, Todd Burdick, and son, Justin.

The Berlin and Grafton churches will have combined services for this interim period. Pastor Kie will lead the service this Sunday, January 25, at the Berlin United Methodist Church, at 11 am.  Please call the Church at 658-2942 for the time and place of worship, in Berlin or Grafton, for future services.
