Quilt Raffle Winner

The Great Sampler quilt, which is queen sized, was made by members of the Heavenly Quilters of Stephentown.  

Barbara Levesque of Cheshire, MA, the winner of the raffle quilt, “The Great Sampler,” is receiving the quilt from Louise Shuttleworth of Hinsdale, MA, a member of the Heavenly Quilters of Stephentown.

The drawing took place on December 9, 2008, at the group’s Christmas party.  The Heavenly Quilters make quilts for raffle yearly and have chosen  organizations in the Pittsfield, Stephentown, Troy and Albany area to receive the monies.  The girls also make about 250-300 “cuddle quilts” annually and donate them to Project Linus, the Shriners’ Hospital in Springfield, MA, the Veteran’s Home and to area disaster victims.  A donation of money from the sale of tickets will be given to the Elizabeth Freeman Center of Pittsfield, MA.
