On Tuesday night the Berlin boys volleyball team took part in a rare volleyball/basketball doubleheader by hosting Ichabod Crane. The Mountaineers looked rough in the first game as the visitors seemed to race through the game with ease, 20-4.
The second game was not as easy though. Despite Ichabod taking a lead at first, the Mountaineers rallied behind the serving of Zeb Ferguson, to keep the score close
until the very end. Unfortunately for Berlin, Ichabod was able to sneak by 25-20. Down 2 games to none, Berlin was not able to hold off the momentum their opponents had built and fell in the third and final game, 25-8. Ferguson led the team with 5 points and 5 digs. Nick Hillis had 6 digs to go along with 3 kills, and Justin Jewett had 7 digs.
