A Positive Parenting Class

February 20, 2009 By eastwickpress

Parents of preschool children are invited to attend a wonderful, strength-based program on parenting with positive interventions, offered for free by CEO Head Start, Morningstar Day Care and St. Mary=E 2s Academy.

Positive Parenting seeks to assure that children are disciplined but that they also maintain a high sense of self-esteem. Also known as Raising Safe Kids, this program will help parents to gain the balance they need to temper discipline with love and help their children grow up to be well-adjusted adults.

The program will be offered on seven consecutive Mondays from February 23 through April 6 at the CEO Building (Head Start) on River Street in Hoosick Falls. Sessions run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Child care and meals, courtesy of the Hoosick Area Partnership for Parents & Youth (HAPPY), will be provided on site for free.

For additional information, call Crystalee Quell, 686-5045, Lois Benoit, 686-7408, or Pat Hayes, 686-4314.
