February 7 and 14, Saturday (10 am to 12 pm) – Beginner Snowshoe Outing; meet at the Park Office. Limited snowshoe rentals are available so pre-registration required by the day before each outing. The outing is about 3 km and costs $2 per participant.
February 18, Wednesday (10 to 11 am) – School break special – Nature Detectives; an animal tracking program for youth 4 to 10 years old. Dress warmly. Meet at the Park Office. Please call to pre-register by Tuesday, February 17. The cost is $2 per person or $5 per family.
February 20, Friday (1 to 2 pm) – School break special – Winter Survival; for kids age 7 to 12. How does nature do it and how can you? Enjoy a warm fire, learn and practice some outdoor survival techniques. Dress appropriately. Please call to pre-register by Thursday, February 19. The cost is $2 per person or $5 per family. Meet at the Shaver Nature Center, 194 Shaver Pond Road, Grafton.

The Park Naturalist offers various programs for groups, such as a beginner orienteering course, hikes and environmental education programs for a minimal fee.
