The Berlin Lady Mountaineers played their final regular season home game on Wednesday night against Waterford, honoring their seniors at halftime. Erin Hogan, Lindsey DePaolis, Katlyn Willis and Angel Reed were the seniors playing on the team this year.

They left the court with a good feeling, as three of the four seniors hit double figures in scoring.

The Mountaineers did not jump out to a huge lead right away, and the Lady Fordians stayed right in the game. Down 8-6 with just over a minute to play, Erin Berschwinger hit two shots from the right side to tie the game and give Berlin the lead 10-8 after one quarter.

In the second quarter the Lady Mountaineers’ defense started to come alive, limiting Waterford to just three field goals and 7 points. Berlin did not slow down, though, and extended their lead to 22-15 at the half.

In the second half it was all Berlin as the Lady Mountaineers outscored Waterford 34-16. Katlyn Willis scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half, many off offensive rebounds. In the end, the Lady Fordians could not handle the high powered offense of Berlin. Lindsey DePaolis finished with 16 points while Willis and Angel Reed each added 14 points for Berlin. The Lady Mountaineers conclude the regular season when they host undefeated Germantown on Friday.
