Why fall prey to the winter blues. Come and learn the game of golf, straighten your swing or learn some physical and mental tips to get into the game.
The Town of Hoosick will be offering an introductory series of eight golf lessons beginning in March. Teaching the lessons will be local high school golf coach Mike Baratto. The group lessons will be held at the New York State Armory in Hoosick Falls. Lessons will be targeted to interested golfers over 18 years old.
In addition to the golf fundamentals of grip, stance, posture and swing, there will be other golf information related as well. Practice nets will be used in addition to ‘free’ hitting depending upon the skill level of the golfer.
The cost of the lesson series will be $25 for Town of Hoosick residents and $35 for nonresidents. Registration and an informational meeting will be held on February 10 at 7 pm at the Armory. Formal lesson dates and times will be determined from that meeting.
