22nd Annual Ethel Simmons Memorial Award Contest Announced

High school seniors who live in the Town of Grafton are invited to apply for the Ethel Simmons Memorial Award.  This award of $500 is given to the senior who submits the best essay on some aspect of Grafton history. Students who attend  public or private school or are home schooled are eligible to apply.

 

This award is co-sponsored by the Grafton Historical Society and the Grafton Community Library. It is given to honor Mrs. Simmons who was a Grafton resident, teacher, Town Historian, 4-H leader, librarian and Sunday school teacher.

Application forms are available at the Library, Grafton Town Hall or the Berlin Central High School or Tamarac High School guidance office. 

The deadline for applications is Thursday, April 2. The completed application and essay may be mailed to the Grafton Community Library, P.O.  Box H, Grafton, NY, 12082, or dropped off at the Library by closing time. For further information, please contact the Library at 279-0580 or email GHS 12082@aol.com.
