Hoosick – Albert Jesse Harrington, 87, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, at the Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT, following a long illness.

Born on December 12, 1921, in Bennington, he was the son of the late Jesse G. and Irene C. Smith Harrington. Raised and educated locally he was a lifelong resident of Hoosick and owned and operated the family farm there with his beloved, devoted wife of 62 years, Ethel Mae Hewitt Harrington. He was a craftsman; he enjoyed working with his hands and crafted miniature replicas of covered bridges.  Albert was a hard working, devoted son, husband and father and will be greatly missed.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his devoted sons, Gerald A. and wife Kim Harrington and Kevin M. Harrington, both of Hoosick Falls, his cherished granddaughters, Erica Lee and Heather, his great-granddaughter, Aysha, and a sister, Katherine LaPorte of Lake Worth, FL. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Basil Harrington.

Relatives and friends are invited to a service of remembrance that will be held on Thursday, March 26, at 4 pm at the  First Baptist Church of Hoosick officiated  by Pastor Dale Hall. The family will receive callers from 2 to 4 pm prior to the service at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Church in memory of Albert would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY.
