The story of Alpacas in Grafton will be the topic of the March 18 meeting of the Grafton Historical Society. Kathy Bly will speak to the group about her family’s decision to raise Alpacas and the joys and challenges they have faced. Their herd started small but has grown to seven times its original size. Alpacas are prized for their fine wool. They are native to South America but have adapted well to Grafton. Bly will speak of the unique characteristics of these creatures and tell why they raise them.
The meeting will be held at the Everett Wagar Senior Center, 1 Roxborough Rd. Grafton. Please note the change of meeting place. It starts at 7 pm. It is free and the public is invited to attend. A short business meeting will precede the talk. Light refreshments will be served.
