Four Panther Wrestlers Named All-Stars

The Hoosick Falls Panthers wrestling team had four of their wrestlers named to the WASAREN League 2008-2009 All-Star Team. Juniors Jacob Pearson and Matt Fogarty were named to the team, along with seniors Taylor Robichaud and Jeremy Burns. 

Pearson wrestled in the 125 pound weight class and compiled a 24-12 record this year.  He was the Class C runner-up and competed in the State Qualifier tournament in Glens Falls. Fogarty was 24-14 at 145 pounds and won the Class C title, earning him a trip to Glens Falls as well. Robichaud was the Class C and Section II Champion at 160 pounds, and finished sixth in all of New York State en route to a 35-6 mark. Burns was the Class C Champion, Section II runner-up and New York State runner-up at 189 pounds with a 34-5 record.
