The Ondawa – Cambridge Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, whose members include residents of Cambridge, Buskirk and Hoosick Falls as well as Bennington, VT, recently elected chapter officers to serve for the 2009-2011 term.
Carole Dilley of Cambridge was elected Chapter Regent. Other officers elected were Vice Regent Polly Severson of Cambridge, Chaplain Elizabeth Green of Bennington, Secretary Barbara Green of Bennington, Treasurer M. J. Root of Cambridge and registrar JoAnn Trinkle of Buskirk.
The Chapter meets in Cambridge on the first Friday of the month from September to December and March to June with a special outing in July to local points of interest.
The DAR is a service and charitable organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Eligibility is based on Revolutionary War service of a direct ancestor. For information on membership or meeting times call the Registrar at 677- 3324 or the Regent at 677-7095.
