Tim “T-Bone” Dwyer Named Hoosick Falls St Patrick’s Day Parade Marshal; Line Up & Locations

March 13, 2009 By eastwickpress

It was snowing outside, but things are starting to look a bit greener in Hoosick Falls. The Hoosick Falls St Patrick’s Parade Committee announced today that Tim (T-Bone) Dwyer has been named the 2009 Grand Marshal of the Hoosick Falls St Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 14.

Tim, better known as T-Bone, is the owner of the Landmark T-Bones Tavern on Church Street in the heart of Hoosick Falls. A great supporter of music, T-Bones annual Grateful Dead Tribute Party brings hundreds of Dead fans to Hoosick Falls every year.  A favorite watering hole of many in town, Tim celebrated the establishment’s 30th anniversary this past year surrounded by hundreds of his patrons and friends.

Tim is the son of Jack and the late Eileen Dwyer and the brother of Jack, Phillip and the late James Dwyer, all of Hoosick Falls. As the 2009 Grand Marshal, Tim will earn the distinction, along with his father Jack, as one of 18 Grand Marshals of the Hoosick Falls St. Patrick’s Parade since its inception. Jack Dwyer was Grand Marshal in 1995.

Parade committee Co-Chairman Kevin O’Malley said, “Tim has been a great friend of The Hoosick Falls Community – from youth sports teams to local charities. He has also always been one of the Village’s biggest supporters, and we’re pleased to have him lead the parade this year. Not only has Tim been a friend to many worthwhile causes, but he has always been a friend to generations of Hoosick Falls residents – always at the ready with a smile, a joke and pint of beer at the end of a long day.”

After leading the parade Tim will receive a plaque in his honor at the Hoosick Falls Irish Festival at The New York State Armory on Church Street.
