Veggie Night Without The Veggies

March 27, 2009 By eastwickpress

by Sherry Bowman-Kluck

The Berlin Seventh Day Baptist Church held a “Veggie Tales” Friday Fun Night on March 20, but no veggies were to be found at this event. It was all about patience and chocolate chip cookies. How do these two go together you ask? About 80 people had the opportunity to see the newly released Veggie Tales movie “Abe and the Amazing Promise.” The feature movie stressed the importance of being patient and taking the time to do things right even when it seems to be taking too long.

Songs were led by members of the Church’s praise band, a very impatient guest (Becky Bonesteel) provided some comedy and free Veggie Tale gifts were given to lucky ticket holders. Guests were encouraged to remember that God’s reward is well worth the wait, not to mention trusting that there would be yummy chocolate chip cookies and milk at the end of the evening! If you are interested in being notified for these free family events, please contact Sherry Bowman-Kluck at 658-0597.
