School Vacation Movie Matinee
Kick off Spring Break with a movie matinÄe at the Stephentown Library. On Monday, April 13, at 1 pm, we will watch The Tale of Despereaux. This charming film is based on the heartwarming children’s bestselling book by Kate DiCamillo and features the voice talents of an all-star cast. This movie, rated G, is a magical, modern fairy tale that will appeal to young and old alike.
Scotia Glenville Traveling Museum
Join us on Tuesday, April 14, at 1 pm as we learn how to make puppets. This program will focus on personalities, emotions and feelings. Each child will make a soft-faced puppet conveying the emotion of their choosing to take home. This program is appropriate for ages 4-11.
Storyteller Mary Murphy
We are excited to offer an afternoon storytelling program with Mary Murphy, an Albany area writer/storyteller. We will usher in Earth Day with Creation Stories from many different cultures. Join us for this fun program on Wednesday, April 15, at 1 pm.
Pajama Storytime
Wear your pjs and bring your favorite stuffed animal, along with a parent or caregiver. We will listen to stories and have some laughs. Join us Thursday, April 16, at 6:30 pm for some family fun. We hope to have a special guest reader.
Tween Night
Come join us for our monthly Tween Night for 10-14 year olds. This month will feature Bingo, Dance Dance Revolution, board games, pizza and refreshments. Bring your friends on Friday, April 17, at 6:30 pm.
Earth Day Craft
Join us on Saturday, April 18, at 2 pm for some stories and an eco-friendly craft project as we celebrate Earth Day. Advance registration is requested.
Berkshire Taconic Native Plants Program
Nina Marks of Sexto Sol will give a presentation on Berkshire Taconic native plants at the Library on Sunday, April 19, at 2 pm in the SML Community Room. Landscape designer Nina Marks was born and raised in Great Barrington, MA. In 2005, she founded Sexto Sol, utilizing rare native, medicinal and edible plants to integrate human and wildlife habitat within the compass of traditional landscaping concerns. Bring your questions and join us for this exciting presentation.

Riverway Storytelling Festival
A free storytelling event with storytellers Kate Dudding and Alan McClintock. Celebrate Earth Day with Stories from Near to Far on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 pm in the Library Community Room. This program is suitable for all ages. This project is sponsored by the Upper Hudson Library System. Space is limited; please call ahead for a reservation.
