County Executive Kathleen Jimino has announced a Veterans Information Event at the Walter Adams American Legion Post on Route 43 in Averill Park on Saturday, April 18, between 2 and 4 pm. Veterans and families of those who have served or are serving our Nation in the Armed Forces are invited and encouraged to attend.
Veterans Services Agencies represented at the event and information will include:
• Rensselaer County Veterans Services Agency
• NYS Division of Veterans’ Affairs
• VA Healthcare
• NYS Department of Labor
• Veterans Small Business Loans
• Veterans Home Loans
• Information on Tax exemptions including the County’s Cold War Exemption
• Saratoga National Cemetery
