Eight year old Gloria Martinez, a second grade student at HFCS and a member of Brownie Troop 1104, sold 440 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies this year. Many of her customers purchased cookies for themselves and their families. Several businesses and individuals preferred to buy the cookies and donate them to the HACA Food Closet and the Hoosick Falls Health Center. On Saturday, March 28, Gloria and her mom delivered 30 boxes of cookies to the Health Center and 143 boxes to the Food Closet. HACA coordinator Dianne Hosterman said the donation will provide a box of cookies for every family that comes there for food during the next month. Hosterman commended Gloria for efforts.
