Kenneth H. Peck

April 24, 2009 By eastwickpress

Granville – Kenneth H. Peck, 74, of Dublin Road, Granville, NY, passed way peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on January 26, 1935, in Connecticut, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ethel Peck. He graduated from high school in Orange, CT, and in 1958, Kenneth married Judith Comeau. From 1961 to 1963, he served his country in the United States Army as a heavy equipment operator.

For many years Kenneth was a self-employed landscape designer.  He could transform plain lawns into unusual works of art by using his skills and creating flower gardens and water falls.  When Kenneth wasn’t working on other yards, he was spending time gardening, tending to his flowers at his own home.  Kenneth loved nature, the outdoors and animals.  For many years, he raced his horses at the former Green Mountain Racetrack in Pownal, VT.

Kenneth will be remembered for being a quiet man with a passion for the outdoors.

Survivors include his two children, Kenneth G. Peck and his wife Kyong-Mi of Warner Robins, GA, and Lori Hartley and her husband Jeff of Columbia, MD, his five grandchildren, Cecilia Hartley, Grace Hartley, Timothy Peck, James Peck and Sean Peck, his brother, Donald Peck of Florida, his sister, Barbara Pelcher of Florida, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.carletonfuneralhome.com.

Memorial contributions in Kenneth’s name may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY, 13220.
