Letter To The Editor – A Bridge To Nowhere

April 3, 2009 By eastwickpress

Letter to the editor in response to Marilyn’s [Hoosick Town Supervisor Douglas] bridge to nowhere:

It’s time to come back to earth Marilyn, both you and your bridge! Why would anyone in their right mind want to waste taxpayers’ money for a project like that? What jobs do you think you’re really creating here, Marilyn, and for whom? We both know if this bridge was to be put up for bid that not one single job would come out of this for anyone from the Town of Hoosick!

The stimulus money should be distributed throughout the Town for the repair of our roads, etc. The people of Hoosick are hurting with extremely high taxes and loss of jobs, and the only thing you’re concerned about is a bridge to the Barnett House! You have done enough damage to our Town, maybe its time for a change!

However, there is one thing we did agree on. The Barnett House and your bridge is one of the best kept secrets in New York State; probably because no one goes there!
