The Town of Hoosick will hold its 49th Annual Penny Hunt for the kids in the Wood Memorial Park on Saturday, April 4, at 1 pm. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held the following Saturday, April 11.
Members of the Lions Club will “distribute” pennies for kids in various age categories to hunt for. As always, the youngster who comes up with the colored penny wins a prize.
For the older kids there will be the usual egg toss.
This is the 49th year for the event and next year will be the 50th anniversary of the Town of Hoosick Lions Club that was Chartered in 1960 with Cambridge Lions being the sponsor club.
“We have also been given to believe that the Easter Bunny will make an appearance,” said Bill Gaillard of the Lions Club.
