Stephentown Historical Society Seeks Old Pictures

April 3, 2009 By eastwickpress

As part of the ongoing celebration of Stephentown’s 225th anniversary, the Stephentown Historical Society wants your vintage images of Stephentown people, places and events to illustrate their 2010 calendar. Search your albums and attics for interesting photographs showing life in town over the years. All pictures will be returned after being carefully copied for future use by the Society. Your reward could be the publication of your image in an attractive commemorative calendar. Entry forms are available at Stephentown Memorial Library, which is open every day but Sunday.

The albums published by the Society in previous years have included many photographs of people working, playing and celebrating, of farms, homes and businesses, of the railroad, of floods and big snows, of parades and portraits of past citizens. Please feel free to resubmit these as well as any others you may have. The entry deadline is May 1. For further information, please call Bev McClave at 518-733-5170.
