Stephentown Library Scholarship

The Stephentown Memorial Library is offering one scholarship this year in the amount of $750 to a graduating senior who plans to enter a two or four year college in the fall of 2009. The student must be a resident of Stephentown.  The scholarship will be awarded to the student after having successfully completed one semester and maintaining a G.P.A. of 2.5.  

 

Other qualifying factors are considered, such as qualities of citizenship and responsibility, overall concern for the community and academic achievement. Students must submit a completed application, three letters of reference (one from the guidance counselor and two from any source excluding relatives), a brief essay and a school transcript. 

Applications are available at local schools and at the Stephentown Memorial Library. There is also information about the scholarship on the Library web site at stephentownlibrary.org. Completed applications should be mailed to the Library no later than May 15.
