You Gotta Hear This! Presents a vocal Master Class, taught by mezzo-soprano Kara Cornell, Monday, April 20, at 7 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church on Route 7 in Hoosick. The class, which is being given for area voice students, is free and open for the public to observe.
Cornell recently gave a recital at The University of Albany and taught a master class there as well. Last summer, she performed the role of Dorabella in Hubbard Hall’s production of Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte. Cornell teaches voice to musical theater majors at Russell Sage College and is an active member of the local chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Kara will be performing Robert Schuman’s ‘Frauen-Liebe und Leben’ and songs of Hoagie Carmichael with Steven Marking, baritone, Lincoln Mayorga, piano, and Otto Gardner, bass, at Hubbard Hall on Saturday April 25.
