Wireless Access At The Stephentown Library

April 10, 2009 By eastwickpress

The Stephentown Memorial Library provides free wireless internet connection for the public. If your laptop has wireless capability, you can use your laptop to surf the internet inside the Library or from our parking lot during hours that the Library is not open. Please note that this service is a privilege and the staff at SML cannot answer any wireless connection related questions.  Instructions for connection will be posted on the SML web site or can be obtained by speaking with the Library Director.

All seven of our public computers have recently been updated to include Microsoft Windows 7, including Microsoft Word. There is also security software installed that will automatically erase internet browsing history at log off. The Library has also installed a new network printer that allows any Library owned computer to print to this printer.  The cost for printed pages is $0.15 per page.

These updates are for the convenience and security of our patrons.  We hope you will enjoy these new computer changes and visit the Library often to use them.  If you have any questions or suggestions, please speak with Laurenne Teachout, Library Director.
