According to Maureen Tuffey of the NY State Police, the Hoosick Falls Police responded to a call at Thorpe’s Pharmacy Friday, May 24, at 11:15 pm. Someone reported hearing glass break and seeing two people running from the pharmacy on the Church Street side. Local Police said the pharmacy’s proprietor was contacted.
An inspection of the building showed nothing missing. The broken door was boarded over from the inside with a sheet of wood.
On Saturday morning the wood was found kicked in and the owner reported several bottles of a controlled medication missing. The Pharmacy was closed for several hours while an inventory was taken and Hoosick Falls and State Police investigated the theft. Tuffey said the investigation is ongoing.
