Free Mammograms

May 1, 2009 By eastwickpress

The Berlin Central School District Health Council is sponsoring their Third Annual Health Fair on Wednesday, May 20, from 11 am to 7 pm. The Fair will be held at the Berlin Jr./Sr. High School in Cherry Plain and is open to the community from 3 to 7 pm.

The Health Council is partnering with Healthy Women’s Partnership from Bellevue Hospital to offer free mammograms.  The service is available to all women over the age of 40 regardless of whether or not they have health insurance. Everything is kept strictly confidential between the woman and Bellevue Hospital. If you would like to make an appointment, please contact Beth Weest at 518-454-4034 or beth.weest@cancer.org.  The Van will be available from 2 to 6 pm.

Screening is the best form of treatment. Take advantage of this free service; you’ll be glad you did.

If you have questions in regards to the health fair, please contact Tammy Whitman at 518-658-2683, ext. 230.
