Joan A. Boesse

Hoosick Falls – Joan A. Boesse, 75, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She resided at the Danforth Adult Home in Hoosick Falls, NY, and was the wife of the late Richard Boesse who died in 1999.
Born on October 5, 1933, in Grafton, NY, Joan was the daughter of the late Otis and Elizabeth (Bass) Mulready. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Hoosick Falls and worked at various mills in Hoosick Falls and Bennington throughout her life. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Joan enjoyed the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Wilda Mayer and husband Robert G. of Eagle Bridge, NY, and Barbara Vars and husband Brian of Hoosick Falls, a sister, Ann Decker of Bennington, two brothers, William Mulready of Cambridge, NY, and Robert Mulready of Lincoln, NE, five grandchildren, Matthew Vars, Darci Snow, Robbi Hoag, Jennifer Hoag and Collette Hoag, a great-granddaughter, Mattison Hoag, a son-in-law, Robert Hoag of West Hoosick, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is pre-deceased by a daughter, Deborah Hoag, and a brother, Patrick Mulready.
A Memorial service was held on Monday, May 18, at 11 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed at the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Berlin, NY. There were no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
