On Saturday, May 16, the New Lebanon Foundation will hold a Live Auction and Arts Show at the Walter B. Howard Elementary School on Route 20 in West Lebanon. Local artisans will open their booths at 10 am, and student art from all grades will be showcased. The award-winning New Lebanon Jazz Band will perform, and the elementary school’s Drama Club will present excerpts from Seussical.
A Dessert Contest will be judged at 1 pm with the winning entries determined by guest “celebrity” judges. The top three winners will receive gift certificates and prizes from Different Drummer’s Kitchen. Entries should be brought to the elementary school by 12 noon.
The Live Auction begins at 2 pm and features an eclectic assortment of items including a wide variety of gift certificates, framed original art, spa gift baskets, jewelry boxes, children’s books, a day of fishing for three on Queechy Lake, handyman services for a day and much more.
Food will be sold throughout the day, and Dessert Contest entries will be sold during the Live Auction. There is no fee to enjoy the art and entertainment, but there is a charge for an auction bid paddle. Items purchased at the auction must be paid for with cash or by check. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the New Lebanon Arts and Humanities Fund. For additional information call Barbara at 518-794-9490.
