Livermore Resigns As New Lebanon Deputy Supervisor

In a simple statement received on the Eastwick Press website, New Lebanon Town Councilman Allen Livermore wrote, “On April 27, I resigned from the position of Deputy Supervisor because I felt that I could no longer represent my constituents to the best of my ability and support our current Supervisor. My actions at the May Town Board meeting reflect my conviction that Town government must be transparent and must exercise its oversight function in a strong and considered manner.” The resignation was not made public at the May Town Board meeting and so Livermore was incorrectly referred to as Deputy Supervisor in coverage by the Eastwick Press.
