Man Injured In Fall Is Medevaced

While marchers lined up for Monday’s Memorial Day parade in Hoosick Falls, Police Chief Robert Whalen and the Hoosick Rescue Squad responded to a call near the home of Donald Estes on Rogers Ave. at 9:40 am. According to Whalen, Estes son-in-law, 56, from Milford, NH, was on a ladder braced against a tree trimming some branches when he fell about 15 feet to the ground. It is believed his fall was broken by some planking on a fence. He appeared to have great difficulty breathing. Firefighters arrived to help with the lifting of the patient into a Bennington Ambulance, which was on call for the parade. The patient was taken to the Hoosick Town Park and flown by medical helicopter to Albany Medical Center. His condition was not known at press time.
