track and field and has played all positions on the varsity volleyball team. Soccer is his favorite sport. It runs in the family and he grew up playing on teams of the Taconic Valley Soccer Club. Patrick tried his hand at dramatics this year too, playing the role of Pierre in the Drama Club’s production of The Boy Friend.
Patrick has been away from Berlin most of this past year having spent his senior year in the Early Admissions Program at Hudson Valley Community College. Although this has kept him apart from his Berlin classmates, he feels it has been a good experience overall. Patrick also values his years at Berlin Elementary School and Berlin High School. “It’s a small school,” he said, “There’s more of a feeling of togetherness.” Patrick plans to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the fall majoring in physics. He looks forward to a career in the field of astrophysics research.
Patrick is the son of Daren Harrington of Grafton and Crystal Harrington of Stephentown.
