An exhibition of Randi Bentley’s paintings opens May 16 at Sand Lake Center for the Arts Gallery and runs through June 30.
Bentley’s colorful oil landscapes highlight the Galapagos Islands using details combined with bright Impressionist color producing work with strong visual appeal. Bentley reminds us that this year celebrates Darwin’s bicentenary, so the Galapagos subject is particularly pertinent now. A free, public reception and workshop will be held on Sunday, June 7 from 2 to 4 pm at 2880 NY 43, one half mile east of the blinking light in Averill Park. Gallery hours are Wednesday and Friday from 10 to 12 pm and during regularly scheduled 4 events and by appointment.
