Rebecca Winn Recognized As Outstanding Business Student

The Business and Marketing Educators’ Association of the Capital District recognizes Outstanding Business Students from area schools annually. Mrs. Deiana’s selection for the 2009 Outstanding Business Education student at BCS is senior, Rebecca Winn.

Rebecca received this recognition not only for her academic achievement in business and information technology but also for her outstanding citizenship and positive attitude.
Rebecca, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Winn of Berlin and Mr. and Mrs. George Morse of Cherry Plain, and Mrs. Deiana attended the 16th Annual Business and Marketing Educators’ Awards Dinner at the Holiday Turf Inn on May 14 to honor Rebecca and thirty nine other recipients of this award. Attendees came from high schools throughout the Capital District and were honored with plaques and gifts. Rebecca is also the recipient of a $500 scholarship from School Systems Federal Credit Union.
“As a business educator in the Berlin Central School District, I am especially proud to continue to recognize our outstanding business students who possess the necessary software, technological and informational skills needed to adapt to the changes and demands of a new workplace,” said Mrs. Deiana. Deiana stated, “I would like to thank the Board of Education for their continued support of Career and Technical Education Programs at Berlin High School.”
