The Albany Area Amateur Astronomers will hold a free, public Star Watch on Saturday, May 16, at the Deerfield Pavilion of the Grafton Lakes State Park beginning at 8 pm, weather permitting.
Please use the winter entrance off North Long Pond Road. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the night sky and see Saturn through telescopes provided by the Albany Area Amateur Astronomers. The rings of the planet, Saturn, will become thinner in appearance throughout the summer. Come see them before they disappear completely on September 4. If it is very cloudy, the Star Watch will be cancelled. To inquire about cancellation, call Bernard Cognon at 658-9144 or Ray Bogucki at 658-3138.
